Isle Hall Network Maintenance

Isle Hall will undergo network maintenance; 10/2/26 at 1:00pm -4:30pm. This will cause a network outage for all of Isle Hall. Any device that uses the network will be offline.

We have detected an issue with the loading of Banner Admin Pages. Banner PROD is not accessible at the moment.

Banner Reporting Database (RPTP) Not Updating as of 9:30 AM

The RPTP sync has not been transfering logs as of 9:30 AM this morning. Reporting data will not be in real time until this is resolved.

Banner Admin Pages Not Loading

Banner Admin Pages is failing to load. Users are experiencing an approx. 30 second loading time and then an "Error in Banner Admin service" message.

Finance Data in Production Operational Data Store (ODSP) is out of sync

The Finance dataset in ODSP is missing data. I'm reloading that dataset now. To my knowledge, only Finance data is affected. I'll let you know when the Finance reload is complete. Non-Finance data should be available.

Multiple users are reporting a stuck loading page while attempting to access Banner Admin Pages PROD.

Microsoft Exchange Service Outage

Microsoft is reporting that users may be unable to connect to, or experience degraded functionality with Exchange. This event is impacting both Desktop and Web versions of Outlook. Users may experience a variety of symptoms related to this event, including but not limited to: Delays or failures when sending or receiving email messages. Authentication-related errors when accessing Exchange Online services. Difficulties accessing or performing actions within Exchange administration experiences. Microsoft is investigating but has not provided an ETA on restoration at this time.

UC4 Maintenance

UC4 is undergoing an upgrade on Tuesday, 8/25 from 7:00p to midnight. Clients will need to update on Wednesday morning. A notice will be sent to banner-user-group@ewu.edu as soon as an updated client is available. There will be a gap Wednesday AM as the new client is rolled out where UC4 is fully operational, but users will be unable to connect.

Production Operational Data Store (ODSP) - Partial Outage - HR/PAYROLL data

Last night's data refresh from Banner to ODS failed on the PAYROLL data, requiring a reload of HR/PAYROLL data. Even though the failure was only on the PAYROLL data, Ellucian has combined HR and PAYROLL data processing into the same process. Consequently, both HR and PAYROLL data will be unavailable until the load completes. Other data is refreshed and available.

Inside.ewu.edu WordPress Maintenance

Inside.ewu.edu will be moved to Cloudflare WAF and CDN services on Wed, Aug 19 at 7:00 AM. No downtime is expected and the maintenance may last as long as an hour. Some pages may load slower during this process.

SNR Switch Upgrade

We are scheduling switch upgrades for all floors of SNR. During the maintenance period there will be an interruption of networked devices, i.e. phones workstations, wireless, printers, etc.

Campus Internet degraded

The main link for our campus internet failed this morning. As of now we are running on a backup connection. Speeds may be impacted and traffic to outside sites may be slower than normal. This includes traffic to AWS and Ellucian, as well as any direct VPN connections both inbound and outbound.

The Student data in ODSP is showing anomalies, including duplicate records. I will be reloading the student data module, effective immediately. During the load, student data will be unavailable and/or unreliable (depending on where a given table is in the load processing). Please do not use student data in ODSP until the student-data reload is complete.

EWUhousing wireless network service degredation

We are currently investigating a degraded service affecting the EWUHousing wireless network specifically within the residence halls. While other campus networks remain stable, students in on-campus housing may experience intermittent connectivity. While we resolve this issue, residents are encouraged to connect to the eduroam network to maintain internet access.

Constituo Scheduled System Maintenance: March 8th

Scheduled System Maintenance: May 16th We have scheduled a routine maintenance window for Constituo Integration Suite. During this window, Constituo will be performing an upgrade to their infrastructure. The upgrade is part of their continued effort to provide a secure, stable, and efficient environment for all of our integrations across the enterprise. Maintenance Window Date: Saturday May 16, 2026 Time: 5am PT to 8am PT During this maintenance window, the system will NOT be accessible. During this maintenance window, the system will not be accessible and scheduled tasks will not be run. Scheduled tasks that are scheduled to run within this window will run when the system is restored.

Canvas Outage

We are currently aware of a widespread security incident affecting Canvas LMS, resulting in a total service outage. At this time, users are unable to log in or access course materials. Because this is an active situation, we do not currently have an estimated time for restoration. We are monitoring the situation closely and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
